TechHouse570- Networking Field Day 32- A.I., Bandwidth, Automation & More!

It’s always so hard for me to grasp that no sooner than a Tech Field Day event is upon us it leaves just as fast! While this event was a little bit shorter this time around. It’s no secret that it was packed with a ton of phenomenal presentations & even more banter & fun amongst myself & the other delegates. Let’s not waste any time, let’s take a closer look at what NFD32 had to offer this time around!

Broadcom

Broadcom kicked off Day 1 with a bang! And I was excited to see what forward progress was made in changing the way we not only utilize our networks. But also, how we manage such larger compute as well. The answer!? Ethernet Fabric for AI At Scale!

Currently in our environments we see higher bandwidth flows that not only have peak areas of synced & bursted traffic that cause decreased performance but also saturation in the links that can further congest things as well.

In leveraging AI we’ll see not only not improvement using Incast that can give a detailed overview of the network & areas to decongest. But also, focus on links that may have been lost can now be recovered & refocused using precise congestion notification & network telemetry-based technology. Packet spraying will also be leveraged across multiple links to ensure the flow of everyone of those packets is sent to the shortest paths possible while balancing out traffic patterns to avoid any further degraded performance issues you may face is game changing.

I also loved the announcement of the Tomahawk 5 & Jericho 3 AI technologies!

Which will see dedicated endpoint & switch scheduling for different tasks over a spine & leaf architecture. But also provide many deployment options at a lower power consumption. Don’t just take my word for it! Just check out their incredible presentation to see for yourself.

Anuta Networks

Anuta Networks was another huge win for me at NFD32! Getting to see them present at NFD30 was my first introduction to them & they didn’t disappoint then. I was very intrigued to see what they had been cooking up this time around & it was worth the wait!

They kicked off Day 2 focusing on Cross Domain Automation utilizing Anuta ATOM! Providing the capabilities to optimize multiple vendor networks across multiple domains is astounding.

Leveraging low code automation, the UI is completely customizable thorough drag & drop, the workflows out of box are preset & can be tweaked to your environment as needed, and its external integrations are endless with multiple systems using IPAM, ITSM, & OSS/BSS.

Supported by multiple vendors, its agentless deployment on DC’s or even directly in the rack make installations even easier. From zero touch provisioning to self service agent onboarding & maintenance, the possibilities are endless for what ATOM can do to make deployments much faster & efficient.

In addition to these spectacular presentations, I took part in an On-Premise episode that ironically focused on low code automation solutions. And more importantly is the tool what’s important or the team leveraging it? I won’t give too much away but it should be posted HERE in a few hours. I would highly advise checking it out, it was a terrific conversation with my fellow delegates. I look forward to these events because they highlight not just amazing companies but the incredible community we come from. I can’t thank everyone enough again for making this another memorable one for the books. Until next time I have a flight to catch! Stay safe & ill see everyone soon!

Best Regards,

Girard
